HISTORY
Autocamping started up in 1963 on marginal part of city Piešťany, next to the river Váh and it was often flooded.
After the protective barrages has been built on waterwork Sĺňava, it cause, that this area could be used for building jobs. Autocamping started with name Tent habitation..
After 1965 the government of ČSFR gave resources for building autocampings. In our autocamping has been built: social settlement, canalization. In 1970 was built the first thermal swimming bath Sĺňava, which was at that time the one in Czechoslovakia and was situated next to autocamping. From that time the people has begun to have an interest in accommodation, so the autocamping has started to be an irreplaceable accommodation facility. The swimming bath in neighbourhood has caused, that the capacity of the camping has been often overreached even for 100 %, what means about 1000 – 1200 guest daily.
The corporations has used this camping for foundation of their own tented camp. Te foreign guests were mostly from NDR about 90- 95 %.
In 2000 the autocamping became a private property and was called Sĺňava II. The reconstruction of accommodation facilitity has been provided, the new spaces for refreshments, grocery, chemistry and even 2 smallerswimming pools have been built. At that time the camping started to orient on clientship from Netherland, Germany, Italy.
The closing of the swimming bath Sĺňava II in 2004 meant a hard times for autocamping by the year 2007, when it started to orient on caravaning and a new social settlements, chemical toilette for caravans were built too. Also the services have become better and the name has changed to Camping Pullmann Piešťany. Camping is experiencing now a new beginning.
